1 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
CWe begin the list with Orlando’s top Halloween family activity. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party lets Disney fans enjoy trick-or-treating, one of the most well-known American Halloween traditions, in a safe environment along with their favorite characters.
The event includes other activities such as Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks show, Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade, a special performance from the Hocus Pocus‘ Sanderson witches, a interactions with Encanto’s Bruno Madrigal, a dance party inspired by the Descendants franchise, iconic Disney villain meet-&-greets, as well as themed food and drinks.
Magic Kingdom Park attractions remain open to guests during the event, with Halloween decorations and shorter wait times.

2 Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights
You’ll never feel more alive than when you’re scared to death at Universal Studios’ upcoming Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights. The event, one of the most popular of its kind around the world, returns in 2025 to Halloween Orlando at Universal Studios Park with 10 haunted houses, five scare zones and more.
Universal Destinations & Experiences revealed that Jason Voorhies, Fallout, Terrifier, and Five Nights at Freddy’s will be part of the haunted houses and scare zones this year. Previous editions of the event have featured haunted houses based on Halloween, Stranger Things, Ghostbusters, A Quiet Place, The Exorcist, The Last of Us, Chucky, The Walking Dead, Resident Evil, The Purge, Alien vs. Predator, and other horror franchises.
Universal Studios Florida’s scariest attractions remain open during the event, with shorter, sometimes non-existent lines.

3 Halloween Orlando: SeaWorld Howl-O-Scream
United Parks (the conglomerate behind SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, and more) has its own Halloween event as well. Howl-O-Scream uses a very similar format to Halloween Horror Nights, with closed haunted houses and interactive scare zones distributed throughout its parks.
The SeaWorld edition stands out for integrating its aquatic theme into haunted houses and scare zones. Plus, it includes ominous photo opportunities as well as themed food and drinks.
This year the event is bringing back its scary Halloween Orlando marathon, renamed Howl-O-Sprint 5K Run, an adrenaline-filled experience which will take place on October 2.

4 LEGOLAND Brick-or-Treat
The land of plastic building bricks assembles its own special event for Halloween. Monsters invade LEGOLAND Florida on weekends during Brick-or-Treat, an activity packed with live performances, limited-time attractions, new LEGO characters, trick-or-treating, and a all-new closing fireworks show..

5 Halloween at Celebration or Disney Springs
The dream of many die-hard Disney fans is to retire and live in Celebration, an Orlando residential community developed by the same company behind the Disney parks. Every October 31, the community invites Orlando tourists to take part in a traditional trick-or-treating tour through an American suburb.
During Halloween Orlando the streets of Celebration are filled with costumed children and their companions, who go door to door asking for all kinds of candy. Houses and gardens are decorated according to the spooky theme of the season, but with the Disney brand’s fun and harmless touch characteristic. Bear in mind, there is no parking and the crowds are massive!
If you prefer not as many people around you can also head to Disney Springs, Walt Disney World Resort’s open-air entertainment venue and shopping center. There you’ll find seasonal decor, Halloween store specials, restaurants with Halloween offerings, and live entertainment.

6 SeaWorld Halloween Spooktacular
Just as Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party brings Halloween fun for the little ones, SeaWorld also has its own alternative activity suitable for the whole family. How alternative? SeaWorld Spooktacular is held during the day, for starters. Additionally, all visitors are allowed to come in disguise, but adults should not wear masks or hoods.
Children attending the event can bring their best costumes and purchase a reusable bag to trick-or-treat while meeting colorful characters through a special trail. You’re not allowed to put makeup on your face before entering, but face paint artists are available at the park. The activity is free for all SeaWorld Orlando ticket holders on any of Spooktacular’s scheduled dates.

7 Spooky Empire Orlando
Do you like comic conventions, but rather they’d be more intense? Since 2003, Spooky Empire has put together a series of conventions (sometimes titled Ultimate Horror Weekend) focused on horror films and series throughout the year. This October they invite you to their Halloween Orlando event.
There you can interact with genre fans, meet the stars and creators of your favorite franchises, attend a film festival, compete for best costume, buy collectibles, get inked by the best tattoo artists, dance at themed parties, even be part of a zombie horde.

8 Disney Cruise Line Halloween on the High Seas
We end on an activity that takes place not precisely in Orlando, pero actually in its nearby waters. During the fall season, many Disney Cruise Line itineraries include a themed party on board called Halloween of the High Seas.
This in addition to everything a Disney cruise already includes, such as aquatic attractions, gourmet dining, Disney character experiences, visits to their private islands, Broadway-style shows, and more.

Happy Frights & Haunting Nights Returns in 2026
An honorable mention goes to some greats that sadly won’t be available this season. Every October, Leu Gardens transformed into a parallel world for two special events.
Happy Frights is designed for little ones, with a kid-friendly trick-or-treating adventure through themed lands.
Meanwhile, Haunting Nights includes more terrifying activities for brave adults, as well as drinks and live music.
Unfortunately, both events will be taking a break this year, according to a special announcement. We hope they return soon.
