About Disney Cruise Line
After several successful collaborations with cruise companies, the Walt Disney Travel Company ventured into the cruise operations business in 1995 with its own themed fleet under the original name of Disney Vacation Cruises.
Disney incorporated two ships for this purpose, which were christened Disney Magic and Disney Wonder, respectively. The company also acquired Gorda Cay, a private island in the Bahamas, and renamed it Castaway Cay. Disney Magic, the first official Disney cruise ship, sailed its maiden voyage in 1988.
The cruise division has since further expanded with four new cruise ships – Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, Disney Wish, Disney Treasure – as well as Disney Lookout Cay, its new signature destination at Lighthouse Point, and its upcoming vessel, Disney Adventure, scheduled to set sail in December 2025.

Up to 50% Less Deposit
You can reserve your Disney cruise with a non-refundable deposit that is usually around 20 percent of the total cost. However, Disney Cruise Line often lets you book for a lower deposit.
The latest deal lets you book your trip before January 18, 2026 and pay only 50 percent of the required deposit on select Disney Cruise Line cruises that sail between March 2026 and May 2027 that don’t require final payment at the time of booking. The remaining balance will be due at time of final payment. Available on all ships except the Disney Adventure.
50% Off 3rd and 4th Guests
In Disney’s most recent family cruise deal (now defunct), you could get 50 percent off third and fourth guests on select Disney Cruise Line voyages.
The discount was available for certain sailings on the Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, and Disney Wish ships between October 3, 2025, and March 30, 2026. You needed to book your cruise by October 12, 2025, to take advantage of this promotion.
Save More with Your Disney+ Account
Disney Cruise Line sometimes offers special deals and discounts as part of Disney+ Perks, additional benefits exclusive to Disney+ subscribers.
Their most recent deal, no longer valid, let Disney+ subscribers pay only 50 percent of the cost of third and fourth guests under 18 years old with reservations for two adults on select Disney cruises between January 3 and June 13, 2025.
For similar offers, you must prove ownership of your Disney+ account through the email address associated with it. The reservation will be canceled if Disney is unable to verify the existence of your account through your email. Other restrictions apply.
