Bahía Príncipe Golf, a division of the Living Resorts business unit of the Piñero Group, announced the first-ever Bahía Príncipe Open golf tournament in the Dominican Republic, which is scheduled to occur on May 1 and 5.
The Open will be played in the single stableford format along 54 holes in the fields of the Bahía Príncipe Golf complex in La Romana – recently named Ocean’s 4 – and in the world-renowned Teeth of the Dog, considered the number one golf course in the Caribbean, as well as one of the 30 best in the world.
Golfers of all ranks will qualify for prizes valued at more than 26,000 euros. In addition, Toni Planells, prestigious trainer and creator of the Golf Natural Guidance method of learning, will give a workshop to all attendees during the event.
About the Bahía Príncipe Open Dominican Republic
Although this will be the first tournament organized by Bahía Príncipe Golf in the Dominican Republic, the Bahía Príncipe Open has already been successfully held on the company’s golf course in the Riviera Maya on several occasions. In addition, the La Romana complex has served as headquarters for other important competitions during its inaugural year.
Participants will have the option to stay at the Grand Bahía Príncipe La Romana Hotel or at the Bahía Príncipe Bouganville Luxury. Soltour, the tour operator within the Travels business unit of event organizer Piñero Group, has created a special package for tournament participants and their companions. The package includes flights from Madrid, transfers, lodging at one of these hotels, as well as attendance to the opening gala and the closing gala dinner where trophies will be handed out to the winners.
Tournament registration will be open until March 15 for all interested golfers. Registrations may be formalized, modified and / or extended on the official website: Bahía Príncipe Open
